At its nexus is our medical center – one of the newest and most technologically advanced facilities in the entire state of Georgia.
The new Meadows Regional Medical Center, a 194,000-square-foot, 70-bed hospital serving Vidalia and surrounding counties, is a brand new, state-of-the-art hospital. Opened in February 2011, the hospital features all private rooms, six highly-advanced surgical suites, two powerful new 160-slice CT scanners, an ultra-modern cardiovascular lab and a beautiful new Women’s Pavilion all connected by a next-generation IT infrastructure in a modern, scalable design.
At Meadows Regional, we know technology helps physicians provide the best care. That’s why we were one of the first Georgia hospitals to begin using 64-slice CT. It’s also why we’re the only hospital in Georgia with two 160-slice CT scanners. That technology commitment extends into every area of the hospital as the hospital employs an advanced PACS system, advanced MRIs, EMRs, Stryker surgical navigation systems all the way down to providing hospital-wide wireless Internet.
As a member of our medical community, you’ll be part of a hospital named one of Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals® three out of the past five years and part of the team honored by patients with a HealthGrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award.
And as a citizen of the Vidalia area, you can enjoy spectacular golf year-round as well as family festivals, parks and nature, excellent schools and relaxing southern charm.
We’re happy to help you establish your own practice, join an existing practice or enter an employed position with our medical center. All you have to do is let us know that you’re interested.
